How do you feel this company differs from your previous job?
At my past workplace, the company hierarchy was strict and made it difficult for a person at my position to speak up and propose solutions when they noticed problems. However, at Autec the atmosphere welcomes and values the opinions of all employees. When my voice is listened to and can contribute to a real solution, I feel very fulfilled.
Also, the flexible work style is a very attractive point about Autec. Whether it be work-from-home, Flex-time system, the long vacations, or the ease in which taking paid vacation is, this company gives you a high degree of freedom while respecting your private life. These working policies are just one reason why Autec is completely different from my past employment.
Please tell us what a typical workday looks like for you.
My responsibilities primarily involve order processing, including procurement, shipping instructions, and delivery date adjustments.
We will also respond to customer inquiries and provide answers to any questions or concerns as needed.
Please tell us a story about a time you felt a sense of fulfillment working at Autec.
There are times when a customer will request that an order delivery date be expedited, so I must work quickly to procure the product from the supplier and finish the delivery in time. In those situations, hearing words like “you really helped us” from customers makes me feel tremendously glad that I was able to help. Interactions like these really stick with me and become motivation for me to do my job well while strengthening the relationship of trust between our clients and us.
What aspects of our company’s culture and systems do you find appealing?
Autec has an environment that makes it easy to make suggestions to help improve the company.
Throughout day-to-day work, whenever I think of a way to improve how we operate, I can freely propose and try out my ideas, which often leads to actual improvements in our work system. I find it very appealing that we can help create a better workplace with our own ideas and initiatives.
Another attractive aspect is that we are encouraged to take on challenges without fear of making mistakes. Even when things do not go as planned, we share those experiences within the team and use them as opportunities to improve next time. Because of this positive mindset, it creates an environment where people feel comfortable thinking, “Let’s give it a try!” Beyond official policy, there is also a great company-wide culture that supports and encourages taking on new challenges, which I believe is one of our greatest strengths.
A brief message for those considering joining our company.
Being that this was my first career change I was nervous at first, but my senior colleagues were very supportive in training me so that I could tackle tasks with confidence, without even having prior work experience.
Additionally, communication across departments is easy, and the environment allows you to work while valuing teamwork. If you have the desire to take on new challenges, this is a place where you can approach your work positively. How do you spend your days off? (Hobbies, etc…)
On my days off, I like to refresh by going for scenic drives and eating out at delicious restaurants. I love traveling, so during long vacations like New Years or summer holidays, I visit many places with my friends and family. Because my personal life is thriving, I feel I can give my full effort when I’m at work.
